Healthy and Nutritious Food Services
Liberia civil wars and the Ebola outbreak have damaged the country’s economy. In other words, we can say this has fueled the Liberia crisis. These conflicts have increased the Liberia inflation, made everything so costly that vulnerable families can’t afford to shop.
Due to these crises, business offices were shut down. People lost their jobs, inflation was shot up. Supply chain system in the country was broken and everything became so expensive that vulnerable families couldn’t afford to buy even everyday food items. And people don’t have enough money to purchase fresh and nutritious food items from the market. After eating stale vegetables and fruits which they buy at cheap prices, are now becoming victims of deadly disease.
While the erosion of purchasing power and gaps in market connectivity have made opportunities to increase the inflation. Because these conflicts are gradually increasing and no broad action has been taken to heal.
These civil wars and the Ebola outbreak have disrupted the country’s agricultural development process. These conflicts have reduced the production of farming and dairy products. And this shortage of farming production has played the vital role in increasing everyday food prices. An economic crisis contributed to increasing food prices in Liberia.
Our non-profit organization provides fresh and nutritious foods, clean drinking water supply for vulnerable families and small orphaned children. We also offer some food items for small children and newborn babies living in slums and orphanages.
In Liberia, the availability of clean drinking water is also a big concern. This triggers a digestive disease in small children in particular. On a weekly basis, we supply fresh drinking water in orphanages, localities of vulnerable families.
Our non-profit organization is running some charitable programs for vulnerable families and orphanages which are as follows:
1. We provide healthy and nutritious meals.
2. We offer some nutritious foods specially prepared for new born babies and pregnant ladies.
3. Some rich families who live in secured areas and have enough food. They give us some food to reach these families, then we deliver food to these families through supply chain medium.
4. Many families offer some food packets to deliver to these vulnerable families which we dispatch to them later on.
5. We provide all sorts of needed items to families and children in Liberia and in orphanages.
